Red Scarf Fundraiser

The Sled Run hat and mittens make an adorable set. The patterns include children’s sizes as well.

We all love new knitting patterns, and it’s especially wonderful when those new knitting patterns support a worthy cause.

The Red Scarf Fundraiser is held every year by Bare Naked Wools and Anne Hanson (the founder of Bare Naked Wools). Proceeds fund scholarships for children aging out of the foster care system with no support system.

You can get a gorgeous new pattern AND support some kids who really need help. What could be better?

If you don’t want to buy a pattern, you can still donate money to the fundraiser here.

The cables on Pines mimic the shape of pine trees.

My contribution to the fundraiser is Pines. A hat with cables evoking the shape of pine trees. The brilliant red yarn it is worked up in is stunning and perfect for a Christmas knit. Or you can choose a light-colored woolly yarn for an instant classic anyone would be thrilled to open on Christmas morning.

The photos I’ve shared here are just a teaser for all the gorgeous patterns available as part of the fundraiser. There are hats, mittens, socks, and various neckwear. Head on over to the fundraiser page to check them all out! You can find all of them here.
