Eirene Cowl
The Eirene cowl offers simple colorwork and texture to keep it enjoyable and fun, but still very relaxing. The Eirene Cowl is knit top-down with increases to give it a snuggly shape and keep your shoulders warm. The coziness of a shawl plus the ease of wearing of a cowl make for a wonderful combination. The pattern is fully charted.
When designing the Eirene Cowl, I wanted to make a pattern that would be perfect practice for a beginning colorwork knitter. The colorwork motifs are simple repeats with breaks in between so that you can rest a bit with some mindless knitting before beginning another section of the colorwork. For a beginner, it offers the perfect pattern to practice your skills before confidently moving on to a colorwork sweater. For an experienced colorwork knitter, the Eirene Cowl is just pure peace and relaxation.
